British Aerospace GAV3 “Perseus” Series.

The UK were the first nation to perfect the VTOL aircraft that were the precursors of all modern Avs, utilising the famous Rolls Royce Pegasus engine. The have not sat idly by while the rest of the world built their own Avs and are very proud of their own Perseus series of vehicles based around the 12,000Kg thrust Pegasus F2015 engine. The major innovation is to build an AV with a wide delta shaped lifting body format, giving extra range and speed. The basic Perseus was released in 2016 and is a fairly common sight even outwith the UK. It has also become the basis for a whole range of specialised vehicles (to be detailed shortly). In the UK, the Perseus is as common as the AV4 in the US.
